Fab@Home is an open-source personal desktop fabricator.

  • By open-source, we mean that all of the code is freely available, and you are welcome to modify (hopefully improve) it.
  • By personal we mean that you don't have to share it if you don't want to.
  • By desktop, we mean that it is small enough to fit on a neat person's desk.
  • By fabricator, we mean a machine which can build 3-dimensional objects for you from a variety of materials, and the objects can be useful.

Fab@Home was conceived by Prof. Hod Lipson of Cornell University.

The design and implementation of the rest of the Model 1 (hardware, software, firmware, website, documentation) has been primarily the effort of Evan Malone.
