Fab@Home:Model 2 Bill of Materials
From Fab @ Home
Contents |
Welcome to the Model 2 Bill of Materials Page
Here you can find details of what you need to buy to build a standard Fab@Home Model 2 Fabber. The majority of the parts are "off the shelf" - you can simply order them off the web from the recommended supplier, or find your own locally or online.
We highly recommend that you purchase your units as a kit rather than sourcing the parts yourself. It makes the build process much more enjoyable and allows you to avoid waiting for individual parts from different vendors to arrive.

Bill of Materials Spreadsheet
Here you can find a spreadsheet listing all of the parts for a Standard Model 2 including a dual syringe tool. NOTE: this does NOT include the cost of having the acrylic parts laser cut - this parts list below assumes that you have access to a laser cutter. We recommend using a service like Ponoko to obtain laser cut parts: you can order pre cut Fab@Home parts here.
