This is template text to let you know that there was/is a January 9th, 2007 Slashdotting in progress and it might make sense to do something about it now that this wiki is briefly in the lime light. This template is being placed on many user's pages and if you edit the template with suggestions for what to do about the slashdotting they'll show up on all the wiki users's pages. Whatever is done has to happen fast because by the evening of January 10th this site will be off the slashdot mainpage and drift back into normal usage levels.

Examples of things to do right now:

Questions for Pkiddy -

Hello,

Please could you post more info on your experiments about fabbing electronic components? Are they digital, analog, CMOS, what? Please let us know what your previous experiment was, how it was a "semi success".

Also, please post more info about your experiences with Google sketchup and the su2stl.rb converter. I am working on an inverse script in ruby that would read in stl data and allow you to inspect it in a sketchup model. That might be helpful for debugging issues with stl.

One thing also I am hoping to find out is what the parameters are for a valid stl design for this system. How big, in 3 dimensions, can the design be? What is the minimum resolution? What are the other critical dimensions - what is the thinnest solid that can be produced, what kinds of undercuts are tolerable, etc?

Thanks for any info you can share -
