From Fab @ Home
I am currently a Master of Engineering student at Cornell University, after doing my undergraduate studies at Clarkson University.
I have been working on Fab@Home since September 06. So far, I've been spending a great deal of my time helping Evan organize the Wiki and troubleshoot the assembly instructions. So basically, if the wiki's layout doesn't make sense, or the pictures in the instructions are blurry, or something else goes wrong, it's probably my fault.
If you have suggestions for improving the navigation in the site, I would definitely welcome the comments. Evan and I have been doing this without much feedback, so I'm sure there's better ways to organize it.
Before I was strongarmed into assembly instructions, I was investigating the possibility of printing basic circuitry with the Fab@Home. The fundamental premise was to lay out a 3D structure to hold components, then use channels to connect the components. Inside the channels, conductive ink could be laid down to provide the connections needed. My first attempt was a "semi" success. More on this to come in the near future.
