Can someone please add some prices here? How much are all these things?
Does anyone know why such complicated electronics are in use? Why not just use a cheap USB DAC device and some transistors to drive the steppers, and put all the "brain" stuff into ordinary open-source PC code?
"Do not ever measure across the motor outputs of the Xylotex board with a scope!"
..."You will kill your board."
Could someone fill in a more useful comment here? In general, inspecting signals with a scope is very useful, so what's the problem? If the real problem is to avoid connecting a ground (eg: scope ground) to a motor driver output, then please identify this as the actual prohibition. In that case a scope could still be used in various ways, including using two channels and displaying the difference. If it's some other problem, like the outputs go unstable with odd loads (seems pretty unlikely) then it would be helpful to know that too. Thanks! --Gwideman 03:04, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
