The Model 1 2-Syringe Tool is a simple modification to the 1-Syringe tool, just wider, with 2 motors, and two syringes. The assembly is essentially identical to that of the 1-Syringe tool. PLEASE NOTE: The 2-Syringe Tool has an additional motor which requires an additional motor amplifier, and additional cable connections between the microcontroller and the additional amplifier. The currently recommended amplifier, PMDX-150 has a minimum current limit setting which is above the recommended specifications for the syringe tool motors. For this reason, we recommend attaching heat sinks and a cooling fan to the syringe tool motors as shown below.

If you want to use tool limit switches (U and V axis), the electronic scheme is below (Contribution from The Renato Archer Center of Information Technology - CTI, Campinas, Brazil)

In the case of the limit switch of the active syringe is active during a printing, the applications immediately pauses the process allowing you to recharge the syringe. Then you can hit Resume printing and the machine will continue the process of building the object.

Software
The software and firmware for the 2-Syringe system are identical to those of the 1 syringe system. Simply load the Model1 2-Syringe.printer printer file from your "printer" directory of the Fab@Home application.
