Welcome to the Model 2 Z-Carriage Extended Page

This is an extended version of the Model II Z carriage. The linear bearings have now been moved 50 mm further apart, and minor but noticeable improvements in printing surface stability have resulted. The files have not yet been merged into the main DXF layouts because it is difficult to avoid using extra sheets.

As only the spars and the back plate have been modified, assembly instructions for the regular Z-Axis carriage still apply.

Cutting layouts

Here are zipped DXF files containing everything other than the build tray and the belt clamps for a 24x18 inch sheet.
