Online script editing
There was discussion some time ago regarding removal of .tool files so I believe the current means of modifying print parameters is to modify the printer config file(?)...however, I also saw the following from the "Using Model 2" section.
"Starting with version 17a of the Fab@Home application, you can update several of the tool parameters “online” - meaning while a build is underway. This enables you to start building an object with your best guess for parameters, then tune some of them while the build is underway, so you can see the effect quickly..."
I am currently using FabStudio v2.0.1, I presume the latest version, but don't seem to have the ability to modify print parameters while (online) in the middle of a print job (see attached screenshot)FabStudio Screenshot: Screenshot of version 2.0.1 showing inability to modify print paramters while online. This would greatly increase development speed for different materials so if there is a way to achieve this, could you guide me?
Also, a repository of different (commercial) materials for various print heads would be a great source for everyone. I'm currently working with various food bases and don't see a need to be secretive with the researched print parameters.
So the code cant edit those values in fabStudio, what you can do is edit the files in the .fab file such as suckback and depositionrate to adjust the prints properties without regenerating the file.
