Somethings still not right

Printer moves on all three axis smooth. I load an .stl file into fab interpreter, position the head and "execute". Everything works as it should except the X axis (front to back). It's movement is elongated.

After several messy attempts to print something, i taped a piece of white paper to the base, wedged a pencil in place of the syringe, and loaded a 1x1" square file. The attached image shows what it printed.

Could this be a software problem? It seems pretty consistent.

Could i have made an assembly error? (and the error is the gear ratio?)

Help!

yeah, it's either a problem with your pulley sizes, or the step setting in the software.

The posted instructions called for (Model 2):

x drive pulley GT (2mm) Pitch, 18 Teeth
z drive pulley GT (2mm) Pitch, 15 Teeth
y drive pulley GT (2mm) Pitch, 15 Teeth

Should all of the pulleys be 15 teeth?

no, that looks correct. I'd check to make sure your software code has the correct step values.

I'm just using the downloadable Fabstudio v1 Beta and Fabinterpreter. Can you point me to where check the step values? (and what they should be)

i think i can help. sending you a PM since i keep getting marked as spam here....

For some reason, this site won't allow me to check messages. It loads a new screen saying access denied. And then loops into a beta version of the site.

Could you email me at electricrevolt @ gmail.com instead?

Thanks a bunch!

yeah, i'll try to remember to do it tonight when i get home.
