Printing in ABS

Hi Everyone,

I've been looking into D.I.Y. 3D printing for a little while now. I've narrowed my choices down to Fab@Home and Makerbot. I will most likely choose Fab@Home because it is open source and I want to actually build the machine (allows me to fully understand how it works). But the only reason why I am hesistant is because I want to print in ABS. Looking through the wiki site, I have yet to notice that Fab@Home can print in ABS. I know Makerbot can now print in both ABS and softer material, but can Fab@Home print in ABS? If so is there a list of supplies/instructions to show how set this adaptation up?

Yes it can. I'm currently working on a dual ABS extruder head for it, based on parts from the Makerbot MK6 head. It takes a little bit of creativity, and a little bit of mechanical aptitude, but it can be done.
