Problem finishing up my first Model 2...
Okay, I've got everything together and ready to start.
I've played with the tension on the cables.
Finally my Z-axis goes up and down smoothly.
My X and Y axis however... will not move no matter what I try.
I've tried greasing the metal rods, adjusting tension. What else can I attempt to do to get the machine to go?
Are your rods aligned? I would suggest loosening the belts and making sure that the carriage moves smoothly.
It is a little hard to move in some spots, how do I adjust the alignment of the rods to smooth the motion.
I suggest first loosening all of the tensioners and the screws that attached the pillow blocks. Then slide the carriage to one end,, and tighten that sides' pillow blocks. Repeat the process for the other side. Once the system can slide smoothly. retension the system
