hello!
I have got a fabathome Model 1 and I have created a 3D model (stl data) by myself. The model was tested to be all right while it could be made succesfully by an expensive professional machine. But in oder to make one with the machine fabathome, there is always problems. For the step 'plan process' in the software there is always long green lines outside the model, which i think is the route planned for the tool. So the tool will actually build not only the model but also some more lines or a flat. That seems to be strange. Are there anyone who has experienced the same situations? Is there a bug in the software or there are problems with the model data?
I use the fabathome v0.23
The model stl data is in the attachment
Thank you so much

You would need to write a program to convert FabFiles to the model 1's vector format. Im not sure how you would do that or if the vector mode of model 1 is documented well.

All right. Thank you for your information. That's important for me. I'll try to build something with the software I have now.

This has been known to happen on the model 1 software. The Solution is to slightly change the scale of the object. This will cause the printer to make a different set of planned movements

Hi, Jeff!
At last I decide to upgrade my model one to model 2. I know that I cannot just change the software. But can I upgrade the hardware( for example change the controller )to make it work like a Model 2? I have already changed my serying tool to plastic tool so I just wish not to change the mechanical part but the electronik part. Is that possible?
Thank you so much!

In theory you could swap out the controller for the snap motors, but that wouldn't be the easiest thing ever. I think you would be better waiting for the model 3 to come out and just buy a new fabber

thank you so much!
Is there possibilities that we use the software of model 2 to control model 1?
