Found 4 modules but need 5 modules.
Hi,
I installed the software today, and played a little with Fabinterpreter to move the motors one by one. Everything was fine.
Eventually, I sent the x motor out of range and had to click "exit" to stop the x motor. Since then, I can't start Fabinterpreter anymore. It says "Found 4 modules but need 5 modules" at start-up.
I reinstall Fabstudio and Fabinterpreter, modified the printer config files as required, but it's still not working.
Should I reinstall the drivers ?
Any idea ?
Thank you
Hi Jeff,
The message "Found 4 modules but need 5 modules" is there again.
When Bay 0 is plugged on 4th and Bay 1 is plugged on 5th position on the hub, this message appears.
The only way I found to solve the problem was to exchange the cable : Bay0/5th and Bay1/4th. Of course, in this case, only Bay 1 moves with the right coordinates.
This problem has come a month ago I don't know why. Then, it happened to work properly for a while with bay0/4th and bay1/5th. But since yesterday, the message popped up again and I had to go back to 0/5th and 1/4th.
Any idea to solve that ?
Thx
Bertrand
Really, I don't understand what is going on. I have switched bay0 and bay 1 again. It works. Untill next time I guess.
What about driver stability ?
Thx
Edit : the next time is now. :-(
Please help.
Bertrand
Actually, I noticed that Fabinterpreter was open in two separate windows. I don't find any problem when Fabinterpreter is open only once.
Thx
Bertrand
How far out of range did it go? It may be necessary to reorder the motors on the hub. Try putting it towards the end of the daisy chain of motors. IE plug it in y-z-tool1-tool2-x. Then edit the config file to update the motors with their new locations.
I have tried that, making sure I make not mistake. It does not help.
